CHEN Wenjie

Wenjie is the associate director of Climate Asia, he supervises and manages all projects in Climate Asia. Conversant in local building codes and other regulatory frameworks dealing with the built environment, he has provided Environmental Sustainability Design (ESD) advisory to projects in both private and public sectors. The integrated solutions he provided helped numerous clients to achieve their corporate environmental sustainability goals with significant reduction in resource consumptions and carbon emissions, optimized building design as well as obtaining prestigious environmental assessment certifications (e.g. Green Mark, LEED, WELL, EarthCheck, WiredScore Certification). Wenjie has completed a wide range of local and international ESD projects, with projects situated in Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Maldives and other parts of Southeast Asia.

Wenjie is the key technical expert for carbon reporting and carbon neutral roadmap advisory. He has led his clients to establish corporate level carbon-related framework, embodied carbon tracking, operational carbon tracking, carbon emission targets reviews (at different building stages) and working with multi-stakeholders to strategise on ESD efforts to attain their sustainability targets. Additionally, Wenjie is also the adjunct lecturer for Certification Course on Life Cycle Assessment.
