Presenter – Designing ‘with’ and ‘for’ nature in the built environment.
Track 1C: Regenerative Design & Nature-Based Solutions | Thursday, 10 July 2025, 4:00 PM
This talk will explore the intersection of nature and built environment from two lens – ecology and biomimicry. We will discuss how ecologists are playing a role in the design of the built environment from shaping master planning decisions to quantifying the ecological, environmental and social impacts of green and blue systems.
Next, we will learn about the biomimicry design toolkit for building facades developed by bioSEA and how toolkit has led to new ideas and innovations to improve thermal comfort and nature in Singapore and beyond.
