Presenter – Embodied Carbon in Focus: Tackling Supply Chain Emissions in Construction
Track 2A: Whole Life Decarbonisation | Thursday, 10 July 2025, 9:30 AM
The construction sector is a major driver of global greenhouse gas emissions, much of which is embedded throughout its supply chain—from materials to on-site activities. This session explores how key stakeholders—developers, financiers, suppliers, and policymakers— can collaborate to reduce embodied carbon across the entire project lifecycle. Participants will gain insights into low-carbon materials, procurement strategies, and evolving policy frameworks that are transforming construction practices. The session also highlights how digital tools can improve the tracking, reporting, and reduction of emissions across the value chain. Tailored for built environment professionals, the presentation combines strategic insight with practical recommendations to accelerate the shift toward construction decarbonisation.
