Moderator – Beyond the Business Case in the Asia Pacific

Track 1A: Beyond the Business Case | Thursday, 10 July 2025, 9:00 AM

Asia-Pacific no longer asks whether sustainable buildings make commercial sense—the evidence shows they now define market success.

This session will launch the Beyond the Business Case in Asia Pacific report. A concise presentation will share headline figures and underline the shift from sustainability as a premium differentiator to a baseline expectation, with certified assets already outperforming the market on rent, occupancy, operating costs and resilience.

This is followed by a moderated panel discussion where leading Green Building Councils and industry pioneers explore what this new reality means in practice. By the close, delegates will take away a clear, evidence-based narrative for their organisations: in Asia-Pacific real estate, the question is no longer why sustainability, but how well and how fast. The session equips them with practical pathways—finance mechanisms, policy cues and proven market examples—to lead the transition and ensure their portfolios, projects and policies thrive in a climate-constrained future.
