Lydia is the Head of Sustainability, Southeast Asia overseeing the regional portfolio development and technical delivery in bespoke sustainability services including decarbonisation strategy, certifications, energy audits, assets retrofit advisory, carbon accounting and sustainability reporting. She works closely with diverse, multi-sectoral clients to understand their needs and ambitions in order to derive the best fit-for-purpose solutions unique to their scope of business.
Lydia brings with her more than 20 years of local and international experience in the sustainable built environment sector. With a technical background in climate change, water management and innovation, she has worked extensively across the private sector, government and institutes of higher learning (IHLs) to identify and develop sector-specific decarbonisation opportunities and solutions framed by prevailing local regulations and international commitments.
She has commercially delivered national level climate adaptation strategies for Singapore’s local authorities and formulated the corporate sustainability and innovation strategy for a local government agency. She oversaw the editorial-ship and publication of corporate sustainability reporting and has forged tripartite partnerships with private, government and IHLs to develop sustainability frameworks that help organisations transform with an economic case, cutting through their value chain, product life cycle and supply chain management.
She was part of the tripartite team to develop GreenCompass which is currently submitted to Singapore Standards Council as a new standard, and she is an expert member of a tripartite workgroup to develop a new Singapore Standard on Specification for Environmentally Sustainable Organisations.
