Matthew Gaal

Based in Singapore, Matthew leads the JLL Design Team in South East Asia. Responsible for the quality and delivery of all projects in the region, Matthew leads by example and is the key link between clients and their aspirations.

His team of experienced and talented designers work across multiple project typologies enabling a cross sector knowledge share that elevates every project they are engaged with.

Matthew is an accomplished Architect and Designer. For over 20 years he has focused on the design and delivery of complex projects around the world. A Registered Architect in Australia, Matthew has held senior positions in several high profile firms over the course of his career.

Working on projects in the UK, Australia, Middle East, North America, and South East Asia, Matthew brings a global perspective to every project he is involved with. From concept design through to project realisation, he has an extensive breadth of experience that enables him to lead and co-ordinate all aspects of a project and large teams. His focus has been Management + Design, making him a well-rounded and knowledgeable leader.

Having spent nearly a decade based in South East Asia, Matthew’s professional experience is coupled with knowledge of local nuance and cultural sensitivity. This places him in the unique position to be able to manage both international and local project groups.

Matthew’s varied career experience enables him to transition seamlessly between Architectural and Interiors projects at any scale. This skill set has enabled him to successfully manage large teams and complex design solutions for over two decades
