Presenter – Geospatial Asset Intelligence, Identify Risk Where It Matters

Track 1A: Beyond the Business case | Thursday, 10 July 2025, 10:00 AM

Real estate investment and operations have traditionally been guided by one core factor: location. However, with the growing impact of climate change, this traditional approach must now account for physical climate risks. Increasingly, hazards such as flooding, extreme heat, and water stress pose significant threats to the built environment.

Utilising MSCI’s Geospatial Asset Intelligence, this presentation explores how localised climate risk data can inform better decision-making. We assess key environmental hazards at the asset level and demonstrate how integrating granular insights into planning, investment, and operations can help mitigate risk. This presentation highlights the critical role of environmental intelligence in informing long-term sustainability of the commercial assets and strengthening the long-term sustainability of the built environment.
